Among the measures included in the package dedicated to students mobility, promoted by the European Community, the creation of real European universities takes on a particularly interesting position. The latter will be organized as an inter-university campus where students have the freedom to move from one university to the another. At least 20 European universities should be established by 2024 to strengthen the strategic collaboration of member countries on education. European universities are transnational alliances between higher education institutions located in the Member States of the Union and the states that are part of the Erasmus+ program. The goal is to become the universities of the future, promoting European identity and values and contributing to the qualitative and competitive increase of education in Europe. There are currently 41 alliances which are connected with 279 universities. Each project will be funded with 5 million from the Erasmus+ program and 2 million from the Horizon project.
