But we continue to be productive and work in SmartWorking mode!

The lockdown, a direct consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, is leading organisations and individuals, regardless of the context and level they operate in, to adapt to the collective effort that has never been faced before, also for the pervasiveness and the globality that characterises it.

Behind the meaning that, in modern common language, is understood as generically negative, the etymology of the word "crisis" hides other older references that are connected to a potentially positive vision of transformation and even a possible "resolution phase".

Now more than ever, it is true that beyond every critical situation, opportunities and stimuli towards change can be hidden; in order to be able to recognise them, it is necessary to observe the situation with an open mind.

Even Science, which considers itself as a source of objective facts that guide us towards equally logical and safe choices, undergoes the paradigm whereby the subjectivity of the observer can change the object of observation.

Even in Social Psychology, it has been studied extensively how needs and necessities can influence our perception and how much our mental attitude can lead us to either success or failure.

So, beyond the "objective difficulties", there is luckily an interpretation consisting of a more personal understanding. It is entirely up to us to choose how to view the situation, proactively acting accordingly to deal with the situation and not passively suffering the crisis.

After all, it is what in the common sense we call "seeing the glass half full or half empty".

At the time of the outbreak of the epidemic in Italy, now already a pandemic at a global level, we asked ourselves what we could do to act and react. It was in fact our goal to continue to support our Clients, always to our best, especially in a time of common difficulty.

“Smart Working”, which was already implemented and proactively extended within ProPosition, has immediately proved to be the tool capable of guaranteeing speed of response and operational continuity towards the Clients, as well as the possibility for all the members of our Team to work in complete safety.

For the team, which continued to work as such even from remote, it certainly helped to keep the spirits high, integrating individual operations with moments of exchange and sharing.

After all, we are living a collective path similar to that of a marathon. Quoting Mauro Berruto: “Whoever has run that distance at least once knows well that it is literally a journey, that like all journeys, makes sure that, once you get to the goal, you will never be as you were at the start ".

In fact, the real epochal challenge to which we are called today is not limited to simple resilience, the ability to react positively to traumatic events, while remaining true to oneself. The art of resisting comes into play to change and prepare us for what will come "later". In this challenge, once again, that extraordinary ability, typical of our Country, to reinvent oneself, emerges.

This is testified by our Clients who reacted by focusing on priorities, favoring the search for vital strategic resources to prepare to seize future opportunities, implementing the digitalisation of processes to better manage adaptation needs, also in the HR field.

So, even in this period, #WeDontStop: #LetsStayHome keeps us in training to run this "marathon" together at our best.
